If life gives you peppers, the search for your daughters went all wrong

Kicked out the same instant the ship docked. People really were a lot more tolerant back home. And who could have known that open fire and smoking wasn't allowed on a ship anyways. Not like there wasn't any water nearby to put out accidental fires. In hindsight it might not have been a smart move to bang on the desk so hard it broke, just to get the point across. Then again, why did they put low quality furniture in there, their fault.
Things outside from home really were way different and so much more complicated. But she'd manage somehow. After all, Kyoko didn't plan to stay for longer then necessary, just check in how newly-founded family business went and then head back home immediately. A martial arts school waited there - together with a bunch of pupils that were told to do pushups until she said to stop. Maybe this way, them weeds would have built up the necessary muscle to even train in her art. Picking herself up from being sprawled over the pier after being literally kicked out, the middle-aged woman dusted herself off, frowned on the ship she had paid a fair amount of money for and proceeded to get out the pipe. Nothing more calming and satisfying then a good lump of tobacco. Quickly wrapping herself in a decent cloud of grey smoke she headed inwards into center of town. Eventually she'd find some popular spot or the other where she could ask for directions. A school as good as is expected from her family should be known far and wide.

"Get outta here, old man! You ain't caused nothin' but trouble since we took you on, you old coot! Why, I've got a mind to- MRMFF... MRRRRRRMMMMM!!" Haha... Hard to talk with a triple entendre of habañero, jalapeño, and banana-pepper jammed into your mouth. "Put a sock'n it, young'in! Cain'tcha see I'm gettin' my stuff and goin'!? Impatient, consarnded youth'a today, hrrrrrrrrrrnnnnng... Hate'em, hate'em all! Idjit, fool-hearted curs and wretches, th' lott've'em!" Grumbling, the old man glared at his small luggage cases with beady eyes of iron, as he loaded his cooking supplies into them, and carried them away from the dock, sticking out his tongue at the captain of his now former ship, and shaking his spatula-hand at him. "Yer gunna be sorry, ya danged mor'in, when yer whole crew's got the scurvy and the plague!" Turning to walk the other way, stumping along slowly on his old legs and a cane, luggage in a suitcase held up by his spatula. Hunchbacked a bit, he looked kind of like an old beggar, but with a far more colorful beard, with a finer selection of objects embedded in it. Hobbling around for a while, he ended up in the middle of the town, AKA, the middle of NOWHERE, as he didn't feel like remembering where he was, when he smelled some fine tobacco smoke. Not quite the smoky scent of a burning wood-stove as it was used to prepare a fine langosto con chile rojo, but it served him well. Now if only he could find the culprit behind the pleasant scent and punch their face in for hazing up his air with their death gas! Man, that glorious odor reeked! And why was the sky so blue!? Not enough clouds; the clouds were in the way of more clouds! It was clouds all the way down!

Anyways, he eventually found the woman, the very woman smoking from her pipe, but to be honest, the smell was too enjoyable for him to do much more than take a seat not too far from her, and breathe in the fumes, as he munched carelessly on a Bhutan ghost pepper, which needed wasabi, in his personal opinion. And he waited for something interesting to happen...

Apparently, searching didn't go by itself as much as she expected it to and as such, there she stood in a decently populated area, breathing the nearly frozen air, polluting it with ash and fine dust in the process. Coming to the conclusion that she would have to actually ask around, Kyoko started searching around for a viable candidate who was likely to know more. Youngsters and busypeople left and right, hurrying around, doing their business or pretending to at least. From common proverbs around home, higher age held higher wisdom, so none of these kids - then again, to her a lot of people were kids - were considered. It took a few minutes of turning and walking in circles around the small plaza until some old fart was spotted. Looking so wrinkled that he could be considered dead, long-ass beard and an apparent back-problem totally qualified him. And if he happened to be a grump, the woman would probably just go ahead and "adjust" him.

So, she closed the distance between them in a very straightforward manner with long strides and cast her shadow over him, in a way that might have been a little too threatening - but she couldn't help it, her standing up to full height and this hunchbacked geezer sitting down just made the difference all the more.
"Say, old man, you seem knowledgeable enough to answer me a question. You happen to know where i will be able to find the world-famous, super popular and probably overbooked martial arts school of the Aza family?" Ending with a smug smile, proud to be supposedly popular to a degree, Kyoko waited for a response, letting a thick cloud of grey seep trough her teeth and nostrils to breathe out what she had drawn out of the pipe before speaking.

Gypsies! Those, emasculating harpies which had sent their fangs upon the poor coffers of The Tall Man, how dare they use their wit and charm to get him to spend his last coin on their cheap booze and pleasurable company. No! Victor was a man of the sea dammit! A washed-up old pirate whom had fallen out of the game with the death of his sister, something he didn't really count on, and now he was nothing more than the local drunkard. Man whom would spend all the money he siphoned from the locals on the very thing he could be heard grumbling about now. He was not a man of restraint, that was for sure, but that was just due to the ever-encroaching sense that he had no reason to do anything anymore. Shellstown was so boring. At least on the Creme Isles he was able to have some sort of fun, but here it was all, follow the rules and do what the government says. A total and major contrast to a man whom came from seven lines of sea-fairing giants. Gosh, what had the world come to now. It must of been that stupid sea-salt chocolate cake.

Yeah, that damn cake he had decided to eat from those gypsies! They must of drugged him, poisoned him even. As he was not being a smart man, openly using his o'cursed power in front of the locals without a care in the man. Blabbering on about how the gypsies didn't have the right to kick him out of their docked boat. He was a paying customer dammit! But no matter, it would all just come tumbling down around them soon enough. He had a plan a'cooking. Oh yes, revenge would come quick fast and in a hurry. That was for damn sure. Everyone here knew that Victor was a ruff and tumble man, good with his fist, a boxing man no doubt. But it was no matter now, cause he could barely see or think, so anyone could of beaten him in his current state. So perhaps his plan would have to wait at the time being. Breathing in the air and with a huff, he stumbled quite literally his way into the plaza. His eyes focusing on everyone around him. Until he noticed a female whom looked nearly identical to the gypsies whom were on the ship he had just gotten off of.

Unfortunately for him however, this was not the case, she looked nothing like them, besides the fact she was wearing clothing not from this particular town, it threw him off. He would stagger on, reaching out with his hand and placing it upon her back-side. Perhaps in the most, idiotic of fashions. His breath smelling of decaying bodies and rotten eggs. "Oh, I...I...I know what you're doing here.....I know what yer looking fer.....and...and....." He wouldn't be able to finish as he would freeze up and stop moving. His body nearly in a catatonic state. He appeared petrified, completely invoked in fear. Before his face seemed to flush and his hand had removed itself, as his body had seemed to move forward in a bumbling motion. His molestation of the woman clearly would not go unpunished, but he would still try to make a break for it. Albeit in a most ridiculous manner. Moving throughout the crowd with the grace of a limping tortoise, he would head towards the stair-way that lead towards another area of the island, but with a fumbling trip. He would find his decent to be rapid.

This was unusual. Normally, you weren't exactly touched by a hand when you were talking to someone. It was expected, that you would get a response. This town seemed weird, instead of old man answering with what he knew, some third party felt it appropriate to violate the woman. After what seemed like an eternity, she got over herself and her surprise, decided to turn around and may whoever they prayed to save them, if this ominous third person did not have a reasonable explanation for their most recent actions. Suspending the long-ish pipe in the corner of her mouth, she had both hands free for whatever might have to happen, cracking knuckles to emphasize.
Incoherent stuttering was all this man, she found behind herself, argumented with. Only a fool'd think that would be enough to justify. And he seemingly was not a foo, as he realized and hit the road before Kyoko hit his head. Instead of sprinting after him however, she decided to be polite. "How very troublesome." she said, before turning halfways around once more, towards the strange old fart - who seemed to have fallen asleep by now. "Whatever it was, hold the thought, pop. I've got to put this here kid in place." Obviously, she knew nothing bout him, but would probably be able to spot him in a group of people, outstandiong enough his appearance certainly was. Then again, for Kyoko, most people were considered kids, so she could allow this prejudice.

Taking off in the same direction as that guy did, she took on pursuit. Essentially leaving the aged man back alone where and how he was before she appeared. Literally plowing through the people, the exraordinarily tall woman was much less careful and not even trying to be elegant, much unlike the violator. Whoever did not jackknife out of the way in time would come to the painful realization that they needed to acquire this ability badly. Skipping the stairs entirely by jumping over their full length, Kyo expected to make up some time she lost for necessary politeness earler. After all, she couldn't let an evildoer like that get away without a fair beating.
